November is Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month
Diabetes can affect many parts of the eye
Changes can occur to your near and far distance vision. It can result in Cataracts, Glaucoma or more serious, Diabetic Retinopathy.
Diabetic Retinopathy is a complication affecting the eye that causes damages to the blood vessels of the retina.
In support of Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month this November, the Sonomed Escalon want to spread awareness on preventative actions that may save your eyesight:
✅ Control your numbers: cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure
✅ Monitor your vision and make frequent visits to the ophthalmologist
✅ Exercise regularly, quit smoking and opt for healthier meal choices
